Description
Temperature sensor (Eexd)
Application . . .
The PTD-100 temperature sensor is specially designed to improve the data transfer from the sensor sensor to the electronic controller. The design of the sensor makes it possible not to use additional spark protection barriers, when the sensor itself is in a hazardous area, and the controller is installed in a non-explosive area. The temperature sensor can be connected to junction boxes with the explosion protection marking EExe or EExd and is used together with TS type controllers-015, TC8166 or other types of electronic controllers.

Supply wire information …
To get the maximum distance between the PTD-100 sensor and the controller itself, for different conductor cross-sections of the signal cable, use the table, presented below. NPO TeploKhimMash recommends using a three-core shielded cable.
To connect the PTD-100 sensor, use JB-KL0-PTD or Terminator ZP-PTD-100-WP EExe wall mount junction boxes. The scope of delivery for the junction boxes includes: one power gland М25, two plugs M20, one M20 hole for connecting a PTD-100 sensor and a 6x4 mm2 terminal. For mounting boxes on the pipeline, a mounting bracket made of stainless steel XP-1 140x140 mm is used
Properties . . . Measurement reliability:
Grounded stainless steel outer sheath not allowed- gives the spread of electro- magnetic radiation, which affects the accuracy of the sensor reading
Protected design:
Each PTD-100 sensor has an outer sheath, stainless- blowing steel, so that the sensor cannot be damaged by the sharp edges of the metal casing of the thermal insulation.
Approved for use in hazardous areas Approved for use in hazardous areas
The PTD-100 sensor is suitable for use in hazardous areas without intrinsic safety barriers. The sensor can be connected to junction boxes with explosion protection marking EExe or EExd. The latter should have a volume less, than 100 cm3.
