Installation instructions for infrared foil floor

Scheme of installation of heating elements of infrared film

Instructions for installing thermal film for floor heating, ceiling, roofing, walls, pipes.

  1. The floor surface must be level, without visible, tangible projections, hollows, garbage.

  2. To direct heat in the right direction, it is recommended to use heat-reflecting material on mylar, polypropylene, cork or other exclusively non-metallized base with a thickness 3-6 mm. When laying a top coat of carpet or linoleum, Rigid cork thermal insulation with a thickness of 3-5 mm.

  3. It is necessary to cut the thermal film into strips at an angle 90*. Each band must not exceed 5 sq.m..

  4. Lay the stripes glossy side up. (copper bar to the top).

  5. When laying thermal film on the floor, it is forbidden to force it from above with objects with an area of support on the floor of more than 5 (five) cm.sq.. Gap between floor and furniture, technology must be at least 10 cm.

  6. It is allowed to cut the thermal film only in the places indicated by a dotted line and the sign "scissors".

  7. Securely attach the electrical terminals to each strip of thermal film using a special crimping tool. Electrical terminals must be inserted between the layers of thermal film and clamp the copper conductive strip. Use the supplied electrical terminals.

  8. Fix the electrical wires in the terminals on the side opposite from the thermal film. It is necessary to connect the strips in an electrical circuit in parallel. When installing several strips, place the thermal film in a tight.

  9. Try to place all installation wires along one side of the room.

  10. Close the electrical terminals on both sides with heat-resistant electrical tape supplied with the thermal film.

  11. Isolate the opposite ends of the copper bus with insulating tape.

  12. Install a temperature sensor under the thermal film (not less than 10 cm. from the end thermo films) and connect the thermostat.

  13. Check system performance by connecting to power supply.

  14. Lay the final coat: linoleum, carpet, plywood, Fiberboard or other material not prohibited for heating.

To correctly control the temperature of the film, it is necessary to use a thermostat (thermostat). To determine the optimal power of the thermostat, it is necessary to make calculations according to the formula: P of the thermostat=(P floor x S) p 1,5

Where is the P floor - specific passport power of a warm floor for 1 m. sq. (Wsq.m.)
